Why a Toastmaster at a Wedding?

Hello, I'm Eric Gill, Professional Wedding Toastmaster and occasional house husband. I'm hopeless at golf, can't cook, but I do make a wedding less stressful.

That's what my happy newly-weds tell me . Don't believe me?, then I invite you to check out the testimonials from some of the hundreds of letters I have been lucky to receive.

I am lucky because I get a similar reaction from almost every wedding I attend, so I can (virtually) guarantee that you will be just as delighted. :-)

Thankfully, they all seem to love what I do, so I must be getting it right.

With me, your wedding gets the treatment, right from our first phone call, down to helping with speeches and giving advice ( when requested ) about how the day will unfold.

I absolutely love weddings, not only is it romantic but as interesting as every wedding is, it's different in some way.

I have been married for 46 years to my darling Sandy; she is my soul mate and my very best friend, we were childhood sweethearts and love each other so very much. I am so blessed.

I guess you can see why I love my job...

Toastmasters at Weddings

Years ago, a toastmaster was almost unheard of attending a wedding, normally being hired as the Master of Ceremonies at Society's Banquets and Balls. Nowadays, it is almost unheard of not to have the Man in Red looking after a wedding.

Toastmasters and Weddings are inseparable and I spend many hours on post- planning so each wedding becomes a labour of love. I love to look after people. Seeing it slowly take shape on the day is perhaps the most rewarding part for me.

So, do I hear you say?

Things We Do For Love by Emma Wanjiku

Most people will fall in love with someone at least once in their lifetime. When you finally love someone, you will do all it takes to make it work. Many have done things that have been considered crazy. They say we are all fools in love. But, have you ever done something that you consider crazy in your life? This is the right platform to share with others what that thing was. As you choose which story of love to share, it is vital to have some vital tips that will not work to your detriment once you fall in love. Many experts who have dealt with people who overdo it state that our background and our personalities have a lot to do with it. The following are things to do once you realize that you have fallen head over hills with someone.

. The first thing is to make sure that this is not some infatuation or crush. It is really not easy to say when someone is in love and when they are not in love because it is a very personal and hidden feeling however, there are basics that can help you figure this out. Love happens when you not only fall in love with the outward appearance of a person but their value inside. Love happens when you do not just fall in love with the material processions you have been lavished with. Because of favours given, some people will find themselves indebted and they will feel some affection which might not be love. The bottom line when it comes to love is a genuine concern and attraction to another person. This can be inspired by their attributes as well as their personality.

. When you really love someone, realize that you cannot force them to love you back. You can certainly try to get their attention but if they do not feel the same way, it is not worth it. Be with a person who chose to be with you on their own and this way, you can rest assured that you did not manipulate them. Many who engage in manipulation might succeed in the short-term but; the future might not be too bright.

. When many people fall in love, they will face their fair share of frustrations especially when they are not sure of what the other person feels. This is the point at which many make a fool of themselves and do things I the name of love. It is not fair to say that all people do stupid things but there are those who manage to act stupid.

Matters of the heart have no master and it is vital to keep in mind that you might make decisions that will not favor you in this regard. I think the best things to do are good things. Instead of making ill and twisted moves, come out and express your feelings in doing positive things. This way, you will not suffer embarrassment or regret what you did. When you do a positive thing for love, people will applaud and respect you. You may not have money to build monuments for the people you love but, you can give them a fresh flower. You might be just a red rose away from finding love.
