Eric Gill - About Me - The Wedding Mc
The Professional Toastmaster is a part of the British banqueting scene. A Toastmaster's presence adds style and professionalism to every occasion and the familiar red coat adds colour to the day.
I have been a professional Toastmaster since 1994 and my expertise ensures that every event, however formal or informal, runs smoothly and fulfils the highest expectations of the host and hostess or organizers.
I am a member of the prestigious 'National Association of Toastmasters' which was founded in 1954 to uphold the standards of the profession. Membership is only granted following a rigorous examination in all aspects of protocol, procedure and event management.
The Role of the Toastmaster
The role of the toastmaster is to manage the event and to ensure that runs in exactly the manner the client wishes. Indeed, a professional toastmaster may be considered to be the ultimate stage manager. I will take responsibility on the day for running the event, leaving the host and hostess or function organizer, free to relax and enjoy the occasion every bit as much as their guests.
Adding Class to Occasion
Originally from Maidenhead in Berkshire, my lovely wife Sandy and I moved in 2005 to the countryside, to the village of Semington, near Trowbridge in Wiltshire. Distance is not a problem, because I will boldly go where my Gavel takes me! Indeed, I travel far and wide.
I take enormous pride in being a toastmaster and am very happy to discuss anything with my clients: to make sure they are happy with my services. I have many testimonials - some are on this web site, but if you want a copy of the original, as a reference, I can either post you a copy or email one as an attachment - it's not a problem.
Everybody is looking for the secret of a lovely wedding - it's all about mixing the right ingredients together. The Right Venue, the Right Wedding Dress, the Right Dance Band or Disco etc.
But, who personally looks after you? - The Professional Toastmaster
The Bride and Bridegroom's personal Toastmaster who adds not only experience and expertise to the occasion, but leaves nothing to chance; your Toastmasters will do two things: Bring style and colour to the event, and allow you all time to relax and wallow in the moment
The Wedding Toastmaster
The difference the class of a Toastmaster duties makes to the day is immeasurable; just being there to orchestrate proceedings give you time to mix with family and friends, and enjoy the magic of the moment, especially the Mother of the Bride, who naturally, wants the best for her daughter, looking forward to this day for so long - praying for good weather.
The day will just fly by so Mum makes absolutely sure that her beautiful bride doesn't miss a moment of the fun, and she won't, guided by the expertise and services of a Master of Ceremonies & Professional Toastmaster.
The Toastmasters Duties and Service
Since 1994, I have been lucky to officiate and provide a service at over 800 weddings, thoroughly enjoying my role of managing the day, so everyone can appreciate the occasion, without a 'what happens next' scenario.
I make a point of advising family and friends of timings, when things are going to happen, photographs, the receiving line, and the timing of the wedding breakfast; it's all part of my service and pleasant duty.
Teamwork - The Toastmaster working behind the Scenes
Working closely with all the key personnel during the service ensures success; being able to anticipate any potential problems before they occur, and sort them out without fuss or bother to the bridal party. That's what a Professional Toastmaster is - a Master of Organisation
